Delete account & data

This deletion page concerns the mobile app "ControlIA" (Android and iOS). The provider and the entity responsible for deletion is:

Sign-in to ControlIA is possible via email and password, via "Sign in with Google" or via "Sign in with Apple". Deletion covers your ControlIA account regardless of the sign-in method you chose. If you signed in with Google or Apple, we only delete your ControlIA account and the data stored with us — your Google or Apple account itself is not affected.

There are two kinds of user accounts:

• Applicant account: created by you to apply for a job. You can delete this account yourself in the app at any time (see 3 A).
• Employee account (driver, dispatcher, etc.): created and managed by your employer (the delivery service partner/DSP). Under data protection law the DSP is the controller; Nockta GmbH acts as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). Deletion here is handled via your employer or via us (see 3 B).

A) Applicants — directly in the app (immediate):

1. Open the ControlIA app and sign in.
2. Tap the shield icon "Your data" at the top right.
3. In the "Delete account" section, tap "Delete my account" and confirm.

Your profile, documents and applications are deleted immediately. (On the same page you can first export a copy of your data via "Get my data".)

B) Employees — via employer or by email: an employee account cannot be deleted by yourself in the app while the employment relationship exists. To request deletion:

1. Ask your administrator/dispatcher to deactivate your account in ControlIA and initiate deletion — or
2. send an email to datenschutz@ctrlia.de with the subject "Account deletion ControlIA", stating your name, your company (DSP) and — if known — the email address associated with your account or the sign-in method.
3. To protect your data, we verify your identity. We delete your data without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days, and confirm the deletion to you in text form.

No registration or sign-in on this website is required to request deletion.

Deleting your account removes in particular the following data:

• Profile and master data (name, email, phone, address, date of birth)
• Sign-in identifiers and account IDs (including the link to Google or Apple sign-in)
• Uploaded documents, driving licence/ID data, job applications and photos
• Chat messages, voice messages and notifications
• Location data and trip history
• Push/device tokens
• App activity (tasks, shifts, tours, absences)

Due to statutory retention obligations, we may not delete certain data immediately after account deletion. Such data is blocked from further processing (restricted processing) and deleted once the period expires:

• Payroll/wage records and working-time records — 6 years (for tax purposes partly up to 10 years).
• Social-insurance records — up to 10 years.
• Invoices and tax-relevant documents — up to 10 years (§ 257 German Commercial Code, § 147 German Fiscal Code).
• Only for employment in France: access to electronic payslips — 50 years (required by law).

Regardless of any deletion request, the following data is deleted automatically:

• Location data: automatically after 30 days
• Push/device tokens: after 90 days
• Server log files: after 14 days
